TP52 Super series Phoenix Sailing Team
“Sonja and Raymond worked for us for several weeks in the beginning of 2020 in the lead up and during the TP52 Super Series event in Cape Town.
Raymond was the rigger and shore crew for one of our boats, while Sonja ran the entire team logistics for both boats, nearly 40 people.
Raymond was responsible not only for the making and maintenance of all rope work needed for the boat but was also part of the shore crew getting the boat race ready every morning and fixed when necessary after sailing. He was also always on stand by on the chase boat for on the water system repair works between races. He always fulfilled this duty in a fast and efficient manor while being under immense pressure and time constraints.
Sonja was responsible for both team’s onshore needs from hotel Check-in to food and clothing supplies every day and last minute requests for medicine , airport transfers or help to fetch needed spare parts for the boats. This is often an underestimated position in teams as it takes a lot of dedication and hours in the day to this job well.
Both of them full filled their duties with great professionalism and a lot of heart. even during stressful situations they stayed in control and always did their best for the boats and the team.
It was a pleasure to work with Raymond and Sonja and we can only recommend their services. ”

CHEEKEE MONKEE
You know how it goes ... I know a guy ... Who knows a guy ... he can do what you need doing ... WELL, with a boat named Cheekee Monkee how could I not hire ROPE MONKEYS!
Raymond is a diamond in the rough, a true gem! hard working, competent, relentless in his pursuit of excellence and best of all ... HE REALLY KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING!
Rope Monkeys handled all aspects of rigging the Cheekee Monkee, an all carbon 14+ meter racer/ cruiser Farrier F-45RC catamaran. He joined the team to join and assemble the 21.r meter tall, High modulus spreaderless carbon wing mast from Souther Spars. EC3 and EC6 standing rigging from future fibres, bulk lines from Sampson for running rigging and some special products and tricks from the Rope Monkey himself!
Great job, on time, on budget and quality work beyond my expectation

"First time Rope Monkey customer... don't be intimidated by the complex and exceptional rigging work they do. We just wanted to sleep better on the hook with upgraded anchor tackle. Raymond's team did a great job on line to chain direct splicing (interlaced with no room for a thimble) Excellent work and a very fair price. It's good to have a high quality, competitive price, rigger in Sidney."
"Excellent professional service that isn’t always easy to find. We had a stuck head sail furler on our Ericson 38. Raymond came down to the boat within a few hours. We were back in business the next day
Thanks to Raymond and his crew!"
"Raymond and crew built a new set of running rigging for the Swan 46 prior to the Vanisle 360.
Winds ranged from 5 to 40 knots and the rope package performed exceptionally well with zero issues.
Everything looks like new and is ready to go again."
